Your data, plainly explained.

Who we are

MarkLens is operated by Purusartha Works Private Limited, a company incorporated in India ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use marklens.ai and how we use it.

What we collect

• Account information: your email address when you create an account.
• Read data: the product descriptions you enter and the results we return, saved so you can access your read history.
• Usage data: how many reads you've run and which plan you're on.
• Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps). We do not sell or share these.

How we store it

Your account and read data is stored in Supabase, a managed database platform with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth.

How we use it

• To provide the MarkLens service: running reads and saving your history.
• To manage your account and subscription.
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, receipts).
• To improve MarkLens for everyone who uses it. This includes your reads and, where you provide them, your business numbers. We use them in anonymised and aggregated form to build benchmarks and to make the analysis sharper. You keep ownership of what you enter; by entering it you grant us an ongoing licence to use it for this purpose.

We do not sell your data to third parties, and we do not share your reads or your business numbers in any form that identifies you or your business. Improving the product means pooled and anonymised, never attributed.

We do not hand your reads to third parties to train their AI models. Generating a read necessarily sends your query to our model provider, which is described under Third-party services below.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate MarkLens. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Supabase: database and authentication
• Anthropic Claude: AI reasoning for read analysis (your product query is sent to Anthropic's API; no account data is shared)
• Vercel: hosting and edge infrastructure

Data retention

We keep your account and reads for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate data may be retained indefinitely.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. Email us at hello@marklens.ai and we will respond within 14 days.

Cookies

We use three categories of cookies. Only the first is required. You choose the rest via the banner on your first visit, and can change your mind any time by clearing your cookies for marklens.ai, which resets your choice and shows the banner again.

• Necessary (always on): an authentication session cookie (from Supabase) that keeps you logged in, plus the cookie that remembers your consent choice. Not optional, not tracking.
• Analytics (with your consent): Google Analytics, which tells us which pages get visited, roughly where visitors are (city/country level, not precise location), and what device or browser they're on, via cookies. Processed by Google under Google's privacy policy. Opt out across the web with Google's browser add-on.
• Marketing (with your consent): not active yet. If we start running ads, this category is what lets us measure and target them; we'll name the specific tool here before it goes live, and it will only run if you've said yes.

We don't sell your data. Analytics and marketing cookies only run if you accept them in the banner. Say no, or say nothing, and the site works exactly the same.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will notify you by email for material changes. The date at the top of this page reflects the last update.
