Signal · Infographic
Everyone said they loved it. Nobody bought it.
The feedback you hold is a fact about who replied, not about the market.
Why positive feedback and weak sales are not a contradiction
A wide field of muted marks stands for everyone who considered the product. A small green ring inside it encloses five green marks, labelled the ones who replied. A green line runs from the ring to the right, labelled what you heard. Below it a shorter dashed line starts in the wider field and stops well short, with an open marker labelled never sent. Three findings sit on the right: honest and still wrong, a sample that selected itself, and the useful half was never collected.

Praise is a sample.
Everyone you heard from liked it. That is a fact about who replied.

Honest, and still wrong
A sample that selected itself
Nobody lied to you. They guessed about their own
future behaviour, which people are reliably bad at.
The ones who walked away owed you no explanation,
so you never got one. They are the larger group.
The useful half was never collected
It is readable elsewhere. Just never in your inbox.
